The Salem Cooperative Super Market Branch and the Main Bazaar are the main places to shop in Yercaud.
All decent shops are crammed up in town. Most commodities are available in Yercaud itself but if You are looking for a good selection in clothes, tin food, cards, hardware and the likes, go to Salem. Yercaud shops have commodities that are just enough to be used more in an emergency than in choice. The shops close by 830 at night except for the liquor shop that is open until 1100 at night.
While Yercaud may not be a great place to shop, tourists can shop at Salem on their way to Yercaud. Salem is popular for textiles and bright handloom fabrics. Fresh garden produce is available all along the winding road uphill from Salem to Yercaud. You can also pick up sachets of freshly packed cloves and pepper from these wayside stores.

Jack Fruit, Berri, Orange, SweetLime, Mash melons, Papaya, Gooseberries, Guava and spices like Pepper and Cardamom are the other crops raised in Coffee Estates.Fruits are avaiable in town or at select outlets on the way up the ghat roads. These shops sell spices grown in Yercaud in addition to fruits.
